About the Tournament
The Big Bass Bash is a bass fishing tournament held at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. For 2023, the tournament will be held from April 15-26. anglers of all skill levels are welcome to compete for a chance to win cash and prizes. The entry fee for the tournament is:
$140/one day
$190/two days

Friday, April 14th – Register in person at PB2 (Grand Glaize State Park) from 12pm-7pm.

Qualifications to Compete
To compete in the Big Bass Bash tournament, anglers must meet the following qualifications:
– Must be 18 years of age or older
– Must have a valid fishing license
– Must have competed in at least one previous Big Bass Bash tournament
The top three qualifiers from each of the four qualifying tournaments will advance to the Championship Round. The Championship Round will be held on the final day of the tournament and will feature the top 12 anglers from the qualifying rounds.
What to Bring
When heading out to the Big Bass Bash at the Lake of the Ozark’s, there are a few things you’ll want to make sure you have with you. First and foremost, you’ll need a fishing rod and bait. If you don’t have your own gear, no worries – there are plenty of rental places around the lake.
Next, you’ll want to pack some snacks and drinks to keep you fueled up for a day of fishing. And don’t forget sunscreen! Even on cloudy days, the sun can be strong out on the water. Finally, it’s always a good idea to bring along a first-aid kit, just in case.
With these essentials in tow, you’re sure to have a great time at the Big Bass Bash!
HOW THIS TOURNAMENT WORKS
1. Register for the tournament online, via mail, or in person.
2. On the tournament morning, you can take off from anywhere on Lake of the Ozark’s.
You cannot trailer your boat once you are in for the day (excluding safety reasons), and you must come to weigh-in by water. First cast time is 6:30am.
3. Start Fishing. Each angler is allowed to weigh-in one fish per time slot (see time slot information in image above)
4. Keep an eye on the AFTCO Live Leaderboard on our website to see if you placed for a cash prize.
5. Repeat for the 2nd day of competition, and hopefully catch the Biggest Bass of the event.
