Maryland Girl Given Master Honors for Amazing Catches!

master

There are some people that work their whole lives to be a master at something.

There’s a reason why the ‘master’ in the old kung-fu movies of the 1970s was always some guy that looked like he was seven hundred years old.

It’s because normally, it takes a lifetime to gain enough skill to become a master at a particular skill.

It’s like what has been said over the years that Rome wasn’t built in a day.

The vast majority of the time, people don’t become experts at something overnight.

To be good at just about anything, you have to work hard at it. Its like I have this little side hobby where I build houses out of playing cards. I am pretty good at it now, but if you would have asked me to build the same one I built yesterday when I first tried it in my teens; I would have looked at you like you were off your nut.

But then again, there are some instances where people are just really good at something from the very beginning.

Take for instance a young lady named Lucy Moore. She’s a twelve year old girl from Maryland that has been fishing with her dad since she was around three years old.

She’s also what they call the black belt of angling.

Reason being is that she has become the only female and at the same time the youngest person to ever win the Maryland Master Angler Award.

Now, you might think that this is just some award they give to kids like when someone is made an honorary police officer or something; but this is way different than that.

There’s a certain number of fish and certain sizes that you have to catch in a particular amount of time.

There are guys that have been fishing their whole lives that have been unable to capture this award.

People with much bigger budgets too. I suppose sometimes just pure natural ability will be enough for someone to be able to get to a particular level in life.

There was a fishing event in the Olympics, I bet she would have won that too.
