Amazing New Fishing Record Broken

The state of Tennessee is probably one of the best places in the world for some good quality fishing.

I once personally spent two weeks in the state on a fishing trip in my early twenties I have been trying to repeat when I get the time but of course, as life goes, it’s hard to find the time sometimes.

However, one thing I do remember about my two weeks in the state is that it had some amazing trout fishing.

I would like to say that I caught some pretty decent sized trout as far as trout go, but there is someone that this past June managed to land one that beats just about anything I probably could have reeled in.

On June 28, Charles Fulton caught a cutthroat trout that weighed in at six pounds and nine ounces.

This trout has allowed Charles to set a new record for cutthroat trout in the state of Tennessee.

Fulton, of Louisville, Mississippi, landed the trout just below Boone Dam while on an annual fishing trip with friends. Fulton said he and his friends from North Carolina make time to meet up and often head to Tennessee in search of some prized sporting fish.

What’s more amazing is that the previous record for a cutthroat trout was four pounds and twelve ounces, meaning that Charles broke the record by about two pounds.

That’s a pretty big jump from one record-setting fish to the other I would say.

After being verified by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Charles was sent an official certificate by the state for his catch of this particular trout.

Now, once you have caught a fish that big the obvious next question is what you would do with something like that.

Well, apparently since catching this massive trout, Charles has had the trout in a deep freeze until the time comes that he can get a taxidermist to mount it.

I have to say that it must be very fulfilling to set any record. That being said, when you are setting a record by such a massive amount, I imagine Charles is extremely happy with how things went down.
