Bomb Squad Called In After These Fishermen Make a Terrifying Catch

rescue

These two fishermen originally set out for the day in hopes of having a memorable outing…and they certainly did achieve that, although not in the way they were hoping, I’m sure. Regardless, I’d say this incident is definitely one they’ll remember for quite some time…and it serves as a warning to us all.

When two fishermen set out to do some magnet fishing in a local canal, they had no idea that their outing would result in an explosive discovery. Bob and his companion were at the Union Canal in Linlithgow, Scotland when they pulled out a grenade.

After quickly assessing the situation and moving away from the bridge to ensure everyone was safe, they contacted the police who sent a bomb squad to deal with it. Fortunately, there were no casualties as the grenade was taken away and exploded in a controlled environment.

The emerging trend of magnet fishing has caught on quickly with people taking it up for its adrenaline-filled thrills. But this incident serves as stark reminder of how dangerous this activity can be – especially if no safety measures are taken beforehand.

It is essential that anyone engaging in magnet fishing does so with extreme caution and pays heed to all safety guidelines laid down by authorities.

Although finding an unexploded grenade while magnet fishing is certainly rare, it isn’t unheard of either – another man found one while doing the same activity last year in Florida.

Despite such risks involved, magnet fishing still remains a popular hobby amongst many outdoor enthusiasts due to its unique rewards like unearthed antiques which can fetch good money at auctions or even just being able to find interesting items like wagon wheels or motorbikes.

So don’t let this article discourage you from trying your hand at this adventurous sport – just make sure you follow all safety precautions before you begin.
